Class Description:

Create a soft and dreamy wildflower landscape in fused glass inspired by windswept Queen Anne’s Lace and peaceful lakeside meadows.  No experience necessary.  Beginners welcome!

In this class, students will work on an 8”x12” pre-fired glass landscape background featuring a soft sky, distant lake, and rolling green hills.  You will be guided in creating delicate wildflowers and grasses to appear to sway gently in the wind.  Each piece will be uniquely your own and includes a handcrafted wooden display stand with metal brackets, ready for display in your home.  Wood stand may be left natural, stained, or painted after class if desired.

MEET THE INSTRUCTOR:

Tonya Schade is a fused glass artist and instructor based in Northern Illinois. She taught for over three years at The Glass Garden in Janesville, where she served as Creative Director. Tonya teaches glass and mosaic classes, where she is known for guiding students through the entire creative process while building confidence and discovering their own creative voice. She ensures projects are completed safely and successfully. Her classes are engaging and well-structured, creating a supportive environment where both beginners and experienced artists can thrive.

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

All materials are included: supplies, kiln firing, and stand.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS:

• No refunds will be issued for no shows.

• No refunds will be issued for any dropped students once the class/session has begun.

• Cancellations prior to the first date of class, a $10 cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund.

• Cancellations due to personal emergency, funds may be applied to a different class within an identified time-frame as approved by the class instructor.

• Class cancellation due to the Instructor of GLAF, or GLAF, a full refund with no cancellation fee will be issued.

• If a class needs to be made up, due to weather, etc., the Instructor may add a make-up day to the schedule.
