Class Description:


Geneva Lake Arts Foundation (GLAF) is proud to sponsor the Caitlin Leline Hatch online Zoom workshop for members and non-members. Your screen will show Caitlin as she demonstrates her drawing, color mixing, block-in, brushwork, edges and final stages. You can take notes, photos and ask questions as she demonstrates her process and techniques. You will have access to the link for 30 days after the workshop, for replay. Caitlin’s supply list will be available for registrants. To take the class you will need a Zoom account, a microphone and camera enabled computer, iPad/smart tablet or smart phone (android or iOS).


Refunds:

No refunds of any kind will be made for no shows or for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the beginning of the class. Students who stop attending during class without prior approval will forfeit all claims for tuition refund or credit.


Cancellations:


Geneva Lake Arts Foundation has the right to cancel a class due to insufficient enrollment or due to circumstances beyond their control. If cancellation is necessary, all tuition will be refunded. If space is available, transfer options will be offered at no extra fee to the student. Students who cancel after registration will be charged a $75.00 fee for each canceled workshop. Students who wish to cancel must notify the chairperson* for this event by telephone or in person. Email or phone messages left on answering machine are not acceptable forms of cancellation. The remaining balance of workshop funds will be returned if cancellation occurs no less than 30 days prior to the beginning of the class.

Award winning artists Caitlin Leline Hatch is best known for her soulful, impressionistic watercolor paintings, with work that reflects the essence of its subjects. In animals, figures and landscapes, Caitlin captures the interplay of light, shadow and color, and reveals the everyday magic all around us.

Caitlin has been dedicated to watercolor for over 20 years. Her work has been featured in The Art of Watercolor magazine, the Watercolor Artist m


agazine, the PleinAir magazine and the American Watercolor and Fine Art Connoisseur newsletters. She has been selected into the prestigious American Impressionistic Society’s 2022 and 2023 exhibitions, the National Watercolor Society and Royal Scottish Society International Exchange Exhibition, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America 2023 exhibition and the Northwest Watercolor Society’s International exhibition where it won 1st place in 2022. She has won the “Best Landscape,” “Best Western,” and “Best Animals” category awards in the Plein Air Salon Competitions and received the Hardy Gallery People’s Choice award.


A native of Door County, Wisconsin, Caitlin grew up on a horse farm, and her childhood imprinted her with a specific sensitivity toward animals and rural landscapes. Today, Caitlin lives on a dairy farm in Wisconsin’s Driftless region, where her family raises cows, horses and chickens, and makes artisan cheese.
