 Susan Anne Russell exhibited in in Miami Red Dot in 2023 and Miami Spectrum in 2022. She will be in Art Expo NY in 2024 AND in the USA Tour ART Paris IN 2024.

Susan Anne Russell is an artist who has sold her work to collectors in Italy, Chicago California, and Florida. She is an author and Professor of the Arts and Humanities. She has exhibited in galleries throughout Chicago since the age of twenty. Her studio is located on a lake which she draws her inspiration. She has been written up and reviewed by major papers such as The Chicago Tribune, Daily Herald, The Chicago Reader, Illinois Entertainer, UR Chicago, Electronic Media and Scene Chicago. “I am an artist. I live, breathe and feel art everyday. Art is my inner world of dreams.” She is author of the textbook: Exposing Yourself to the Performing Arts published by BVT 2013 with paintings: Beatrice and Aphrodite printed in the textbook. The book is in numerous prestigious libraries and museums, including: Oxford University Bodleian Library, Harvard University Schlesinger Library on the History of Women in America, Yale University Sterling Memorial Library, and Columbia University Music and Arts Library.


In 2021 Susan Anne Russell was selected as Judge of The Deerpath Art League Show “Art Fair on the Square” in Lake Forest. In 2017 Susan was selected as Judge of the Annual Cook Mansion for the Festival of The Arts in Libertyville. In May-June 2019 Susan had a Solo Show at The North Shore Arts League in Winnetka titled Ethereal Dreams. In 2022, and 2017 Susan had a Solo Show at the Woodstock Opera House. In 2018 she exhibited at The Marin MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art in Novato, California. In 2020 Susan exhibited her painting at The Elmhurst Art Museum in the show- Beyond The Surface. In the same year, Sacred Falls was selected for the Art and Soul Poster and in 2018 Spirit Messenger was the featured artwork for the Artists on the Bluff Spirit Poster. Other Solo shows include 2012 at the Adler Mansion and 2008 at Oxala Gallery of Fine Art in Pilsen. Susan's work appeared at the Miami Spectrum 2015 show concurrent with the International Miami Art Basel show. In 2016 Exhibited in a 3 person Show titled: Mixed Palettes and a 3 person show at Deer Path Gallery- titled Deck the Walls. Susan was selected for the NY Biennale Art Show 2009, receiving international recognition and accepted in New York’s Agora Gallery located in the Chelsea District From 2009-2011 she exhibited at Gallerie MK in the River North District and at Robert Wayner’s Black Walnut Gallery located in the Fulton Market Gallery.


Susan has been recognized for her televised interviews, work in film and her live performances. “My work stems predominantly from dreams that are orchestrated and filtered through the vehicle of pigment, achieving perspectives with light and atmosphere. I consider art an evolving process and feel my art comes from an exterior muse that enters and inspires."
