Photos are available in three formats: paper (print only – not mounted, matted, or framed), canvas, and standout.
The images themselves are available in four sizes: 8x10, 11x14, 16x20, and 20x24. Each photo has a border. The paper print has the same size border on each side. The print and border sizes are: 8x10 (1” border), 11x14 (1¼”), 16x20 (1½”), and 20x24 (1¾”). Custom sizes are available.
The other two types of prints have different borders according to size. The top, left, and right borders are the same width, but the bottom border is bigger than the other three sides to enhance the appearance and presentation of the photo. Here are the print and border sizes: 8x10 (2½” and 3” borders), 11x14 (2¾” and 3¼”), 16x20 (3½” and 4¼”), and 20x24 (4¼” and 5¼”). Custom sizes are available. Two words – endless wonder – pointedly describe my interest in photography. I never cease to be fascinated by what can be created photographically and how those images affect me as well as people who view my work.
Recording my observations of the world through photography began in 1973. My first photos were of car races in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Indianapolis, Indiana, enabling me to add a new dimension to my deep interest in motorsports, especially drag racing. I also started practicing photojournalism of area community events and wrote articles for The Times, the weekly newspaper in Walworth, Wisconsin, my parents bought in 1957. I owned, edited, and published the paper in 1980-86.
The editorial page of the newspaper, which was printed in black and white, always displayed a scenic photograph. Having to shoot for that page motivated me to photograph landscapes of Geneva Lake, the communities, and the countryside in the newspaper coverage area. Walking the lake path or driving a country road always enabled me to slow the pace of my life that was driven by deadlines.
Subsequently, I contributed writing, photography, and editing to a variety of local, regional, and national publications for four decades.
My landscapes have been exhibited in the Wisconsin communities of Delavan, Elkhorn, Walworth, Racine, Fort Atkinson, Williams Bay, Beaver Dam, Lake Geneva, Whitewater, and East Troy. My photographs have been acquired by individuals, organizations, and businesses in the Geneva Lake area, Walworth County, southern Wisconsin, and northern Illinois.
If I seek to have my photos convey a message, it is to urge all of us to stop and look more keenly at what is closest to us, especially in our communities. We will be amazed at what we see.
