Pastel Artist, Suzanne Manthe of Delavan, is an impressionistic pastel painter. Her primary source of inspiration comes from the lush and varied landscapes of Wisconsin.
Growing up in the Southwest, she received an art scholarship to Phoenix College and later attended Arizona State University. Following an education degree from Dr. Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota, she taught art at the elementary and secondary level. Through classes and workshops she continues to pursue her growth as an artist.
Suzanne is a signature member of the Wisconsin Pastel Artists (WPA). Prior to moving to Delavan in 2014, she served as the group's Vice President and remains an active member. She has been juried into several shows and has received numerous honors and awards. Her work hangs in both private and public collections.
Besides the WPA, she is also a member of the International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS), Wisconsin Painters Society (WPS) and the Geneva Lakes Art Foundation (GLAF).
