After retiring from a long rewarding career in nursing, I have the opportunity to pursue my love of art, nature and gardening. My first encounter with botanical art was a watercolor class at Morton Arboretum in Lisle, Illinois. Relocating to the Lake Geneva area in Wisconsin has allowed me to explore a peaceful joy in gardening and the quiet beauty of nature.
My goal is to capture the subtle details and patterns in nature which surround me. I enjoy the challenge of balancing observation and artistic expression. I currently study botanical art with Lynne Railsback and with Heeyoung Kim. I am a member of the Reed-Turner Botanical Artist group, the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Geneva Lake Arts Foundation.
