Forever a student of all that is art, Jane discovered her passion for photography while trying to master a beginner waterer color class here at GLAF. This led to the development of the style Jane likes to call "photoart". Starting with a photograph she enhances it with several mediums to create a very stylized unique work of art.

Jane has a B.A. from Northwestern University with a double major in Fine Art and Communications. She has excelled tremendously in both areas. She has been a member of the GLAF since 2007 and exhibits and sells her artwork at Gallery 223, and other locations in WI and IL.

She has had the pleasure of teaching art classes starting with preschool Montessori schools through grade school, junior high, high school and college level. Another rewarding experience was being the Career Mentor for Buffalo Grove High School in Illinois. She taught Fashion Merchandising classes at The College of DuPage where she coordinated with other departments to pull together annual student fashion shows, which she directed, wrote and narrated. This led to her owning her own fashion show production company for fifteen years coordinating special events and fashion shows for mostly Chicagoland Shopping Centers; the most exclusive client being Woodfield S.C. which was a client for over 15 years. Prior to all that she had been the Fashion Director for the 13 store dept store chain Wieboldt's where she learned a great many fashion skills and traveled to New York’s fashion markets seasonally with the buyers. Previously she was the fashion display director at The Madigan Stores and also Kaufmann Stores.

All these creative endeavors have helped her meet and grow with artist of all ages and experience levels giving her work a gentle and unique perspective. Currently, Jane enjoys photographing and researching mostly historical art found around Lake Geneva, WI. She then writes detailed historical descriptions on the back of her artwork pieces. She's found that she's quite the historian and comic - who knew?
