Lynne Railsback, Botanical Artist
Lynne began painting botanical watercolors after retirement in 1997. Most of her initial pieces were of dried plants found near her home in Wisconsin. Since wintering in Florida, she expanded her palette to include more colorful images. She also began to focus on painting native species. Her expectation is that her images are used as tools to educate people about the importance of using native plant in their landscapes. Of course, the native specimens she paints are incorporated into her gardens in Wisconsin and Florida. Her goal is to create a better habitat for birds, pollinators, and people.
