Demystifying Watercolor Ocean Seagulls
This is a Step by Step Demonstration/Paint Along Course with time to give each step a try. Designed for intermediate and beginner friendly. Each of my two per month Course’s will focus on one aspect of the wonderful medium of Watercolor. Venarella will demystify the process and you will begin to feel comfortable with the incredible effects you can achieve with the transparency of Watercolor.

Beginning students will learn to handle watercolor paints and papers to develop their own personal style. Personal one-on-one attention by instructor. Critiques will be given at each class. Students will leave each class with a finished piece!

Intermediate and above level artists.
These classes are intended for artists who have painted, but who would like to receive comprehensive training in advancing their work, to push one's work beyond the ordinary.
Learn to paint with paper and incorporate found and commercial objects to your project. A fun and creative class.
Please bring a glue stick and scissors. All other supplies will be included.
Classes will focus on various drawing techniques including contour line drawing,using positive and negative space, and techniques to show volume.
Beginning materials are included.

Through a variety of drawing materials students will be introduced to drawing techniques that explore the use of line, shape, positive-negative space, linear perspective and shading. Although suggestions for subjects to draw will be offered students are free to choose their own subject matter in which to incorporate any or all of the techniques introduced. Instruction will be adapted to meet the individual ages and skill levels of each student so that all students receive optimal instruction as they explore their own creativity.
Payment is due in cash or by check when students are dropped off for class. If you have pre-registered your child/children for more than one class session of the four drawing sessions offered in March and wish to pre-pay for the class sessions in which your child/children are registered you may do so when they are dropped off for their first class. Class size is limited to 10 students per session due to available teaching space, therefore pre-registration is required. Upon registration you will receive a Student Participation Form as an email attachment. This one-time form must be filled out and turned in when your child/children are dropped off for their first class. You can either print a copy of the form from your email attachment to fill out and bring with you when you bring your child/children to class or fill out one of the blank copies I will have with me.

Classes will be tailored to the individual student and their abilities.
• We will explore basic drawing techniques - using line and shape, exploring line textures, using line to show space (3 -D drawing) and more.
• We will use a variety of mediums. Mediums will include colored drawing materials- colored pencil, marker etc., scratchboard, paint and other optional materials.
Theme of projects this session will center on nature related subjects of the students’ choice. Advanced students may work on their selected subject.
